What is the best sniper rifle

CoD Warzone: These are the 3 best sniper loadouts to rebuild

Snipers are a popular class in Call of Duty: Warzone. They can be used to take down enemies from a great distance before they really notice. MeinMMO presents you the best loadout for each of the popular sniper rifles HDR, AX-50 and Kar 98k.

What are these loadouts? Our weapon loadouts presented here are our recommendations for two of the most popular sniper rifles, the HDR and the AX-50, as well as the DMR Kar 98k, which is possibly the new strongest sniper rifle.

The builds are partly inspired by CoD experts and YouTubers such as FOG of GAMING and adapted through our own experience in Warzone. With each build, we provide you with additional equipment as well as a recommendation for the style of play and where the weapon is particularly suitable.

For general tips on weapon building in Warzone, check out our best weapons with setups for your personal loadouts. There you will find other builds for weapons that do not fall into the sniper category.

1. The best HDR loadout in Warzone

This is how you build it:

  • Muzzle: silencer (monolith)
  • Barrel: 26.9 "HDR Pro
  • Laser: Tactical laser
  • Sight: Thermal dual power riflescope
  • Stock: FTAC Champion

We recommend this equipment:

  • Secondary weapon: PILA
  • Blue Perk: KRD or Cold Blood (depending on whether you want to counter snipers or RPGs)
  • Red Perk: Spirit
  • Yellow Perk: Eager
  • Equipment: C4 and smoke grenade

How does the loadout play? The HDR is arguably the strongest and slowest sniper rifle in Warzone. You can use it to take out extremely precise opponents over long distances, but you are strongly tied to a location. It's a "classic" sniper build.

With the setup your crosshairs hardly swing back and forth (no “idle sway”). To do this, however, you need the tactical laser, as the HDR does not have a handle attachment. If the weapon offers you enough aiming stability even without a laser, you can exchange it for the extra dexterity.

The heartbeat sensor as the strongest tactical equipment is not necessarily advisable in this build because you don't want to get that close to opponents. Make sure to check with your team about who is using which equipment. Ignoring this is one of the biggest mistakes many gamers still make.

2. The best AX-50 loadout in Warzone

This is how you build it:

  • Muzzle: silencer (monolith)
  • Run: Singuard Arms Pro
  • Sight: Riflescope (Thermal)
  • Shank: Singuard Arms assassin
  • Handle: Patterned grip tape

We recommend this equipment:

  • Secondary weapon: PILA or Renetti
  • Blue Perk: KRD or Cold Blood (depending on whether you want to counter snipers or RPGs)
  • Red Perk: Alerted
  • Yellow Perk: Battle-hardened or Zealous
  • Equipment: Molotov and stun grenade

How does the loadout play? In contrast to HDR, you can rely more on ZV speed with the AX-50 and should also do that in some cases. It is more suitable for a "Quick Scope" style of play.

The strength of the AX-50 is that you can dock faster and still hit a long range. Therefore, it is especially strong when you are in a duel with other snipers.

From cover you can pursue shots faster and be ready to fire faster than players with the HDR. At the same time, you are only slightly less precise on moving targets.

Why not the 32 ″ barrel? The slightly longer run is a bit stronger over long distances, but the Arms Pro has fewer disadvantages, especially when it comes to ZV speed. Since this plays a somewhat larger role with the AX-50, we recommend the shorter barrel.

3. The best Kar 98k loadout

This is how you build it:

  • Muzzle: silencer (monolith)
  • Barrel: Singuard made to measure 27.6 "
  • Sight: Mercenary Sight (Thermal) or Variable Zoom Telescope
  • Shank: STVOL precision wedge
  • Handle: Patterned grip tape

We recommend this equipment:

  • Secondary weapon: PILA
  • Blue perk: KRD
  • Red Perk: Spirit
  • Yellow Perk: Eager
  • Equipment: C4 or Thermit and heartbeat sensor or Stim

How does the loadout play? For a real sniper build, there is basically only one way to build the Kar. As a DMR, it is actually intended for faster combat and that is also reflected in its sniper variant.

Compared to the other two builds, the Kar is much more aggressive and should be played that way. You have a higher cadence than with the other weapons and are only less precise at great distances. So try to get closer to a distance where other snipers are no longer comfortable.

Use your higher rate of fire to keep opponents and entire squads busy. If that is still too slow for you, you can do without the extended barrel, exchange the shaft and play a real "Quick Scope" monster. “Drag-scoping” can also help to make sure hits as a controller player.

General tips about sniper loadouts

The rocket launchers are now popular in Warzone and have become quite strong despite nerfs. That's why a lot of players now use rocket launchers and especially the KRD perk.

However, this means that fewer and fewer people use the cold-blooded perk. For this reason, we recommend a thermal visor for each of our builds, as hardly any players use the counter perk.

If you are sure that you do not need a thermal visor or that you still encounter too many cold-blooded players, the HDR and AX-50 do not have the visor attachment at all. With the Kar 98k, you attach the riflescope or the variable zoom telescope instead.

Otherwise, as a sniper, you should see your opponent before he notices you. Only fire and only then when you are sure that you have an advantage and can take out the enemy. Otherwise you will betray your position. If you want to improve even further, you will find 8 tips for snipers in CoD Warzone in our article.
